Our Story

Gen-Tracker started in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 2001 as a grassroots solution developed to meet a critical gap in the market.

As an independent generator service company, we were honored to be one of the first Kohler dealers to be authorized for generator startups. With our background as electrical contractors and as a generator sales and service provider, we quickly saw the need to be aware of the current status of our customer’s generators.

Drawing on our expertise, we developed the first generation of Gen-Tracker with an array of timers, relays, and sensing equipment. In the years since, Generator Solutions has continued to grow and innovate, selling off the electrical contracting and generator sales and service companies allowing our team to focus solely on providing Gen-Tracker to service companies all across the country. Our name, our dedication to service and unique knowledge of the generator industry has allowed us develop Gen-Tracker into the number one monitoring system for standby generators.

Generator Solutions, Inc. is located in St. Paul, Minnesota, right in the heart of generator country. Manufacturers including CAT, Cummins, Generac, Kohler, MTU and many more, are all just a stone’s throw from our headquarters. We proudly partner with our PCB circuit board printer based in Chicago and electronics assembly company just 45 minutes away in Wisconsin. As raw hardware is completed, it is sent to our facility where our team completes the final assembly, programming, testing and support for our systems.
